Set in a private, peaceful, gated community about 1 mile from the shops & restaurants of Maggie Valley or 15 minutes from historic Waynesville. The property overlooks the babbling creek and there is a view of the mountains to both the left and right of the deck. There is parking space by the front door for two vehicles, and the property benefits from full air conditioning, heating, and ceiling fans in all the main rooms. The front door leads onto a great room with double height cathedral T & G ceiling and stunning hickory wood polished floors. A large picture window looks out over woodland and the mountains of Maggie Valley, and then the eye is drawn from floor to ceiling to the stone fireplace. The fireplace is the latest, state of art, gas log fire that is lit via remote control, and the heat is effeciently blown out into the great room creating a warm and cozy atmosphere when chilly weather strikes. On the large timber mantle piece, rests a 42 inch LCD Flat Screen HD ready cable TV connected to DVD and switch box to allow easy connection for X Box, Play Station3 or other game equipment as well as WIFI internect connection. The great room is comfortably furnished with sofa, a large brown leather recliner and Amish style rocking chair, as well as a footstool, quirky side tables and traditional table lamps. At the far end of the great room is a dining table and seating for six adults lit by an overhead chandelier. Patio doors lead onto the large deck area, which is protected by a ceiling with lighting, overlooking the creek and gazebo area below. Relax in the new hot tub while taking in the mountain views.

The fully equiped modern kitchen has tile floors, double sink & onyx worktops. The large fridge freezer incorporates ice machine with pristine mountain well water, the large oven has an overhead extractor with built in combination microwave. There are ample cupboards and drawers all made from solid hickory wood, giving storage space for dry goods, flatware, china and all items necessary to enable you to cook a full meal for the hungry family after a day walking in the woods or visiting one of the many local attractions such as Ghost Town.

The downstairs bedroom has a stunning rustic timber king size bed with memory foam topped mattress and matching Amish bedside tables complete with lamps, the bedroom also has a large closet and dresser for storage. The en-suite modern bathroom has a large walk in shower and solid hickory drawers under the basin. There is also a closet with shelving providing even more storage. The second bedroom can be reached via the solid wood staircase. The large bedroom has a comfortable queen bed with two bedside tables with lamps on each. A day bed with under bed mattress can be converted toa twin to provide additional sleeping arrangements in this bedroom, there is also another Amish rocking chair and chest of drawers giving support for TV & DVD player. On entering the room, the eye is drawn to the magnificent cedar mirror, which is locally carved and reflects the woodland that can be seen from the large picture windows. There is ample space for clothes and other possessions in the huge walk in closet that is fully lit and provides storage for additional pillows & blankets. There is also an en suite bathroom with bath, shower and basin with solid hickory drawers.

During the holidays of July 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year’s this home “may” require a 5 night minimum unless owner approves for less days. The peak month of October “may” require a 3 night minimum stay. Please call us if you need less days!
